Eric Osei Assibey said, this is to reduce the burden of the hike in the cost of the commodity, on the poor and promote sustainable development. The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has demanded an immediate refund of any salary that may have been paid to the spouses of the President and Vice President. The country’s biggest workers’ union has sternly rejected the recommendations of the Ntiamoa-Baidu committee for the spouses to be paid salaries. The New Abirim Magistrate Court has granted bail to three persons for conspiring and tying a six-year-old boy to a mango tree for allegedly stealing ¢50 belonging to his grandfather.
