Government through the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has granted the Education, Interior and National Security Ministries financial clearance to recruit 11,840 staff to augment their existing staff strengths. According to reports, Alhaji Sharubutu passed on on Monday, July 12, and the cause of death has not been made public. Until his demise, Alhaji Sharubutu was the driver for the Chief Imam. The higher rate of inflation recorded for foodstuffs and transportation pushed inflation for the month of June marginally up by 0.3% to 7.8%. However, despite the increase, the country continued to stay within the single digit inflation for the past three months. This marginal increment will also not affect cost of living that much.
