President John Dramani Mahama has announced that 166 constituencies across the country will each receive 40 kilometres of roads over the next four years. According to the President, these constituencies have been identified as having some of the worst roads in Ghana. A fatal accident at Kormantse on the Cape Coast–Accra Highway has claimed the lives of eight people and injured five others, including a child and the driver of a truck.
